Tomato sauce and chicken meatballs
For the meatballs:
400 g chicken breast
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 head red onion
1 grated carrot
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon oregano
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
1 egg
1 slice of bread Salt and pepper
2-3 tbsp oil for frying
For the tomato sauce:
3 tablespoons olive oil
2 heads of onion
3 cloves garlic
2 carrots, grated
600 ml minced tomatoes or canned
400 milliliters of water
3 roasted and peeled red peppers, passion
3 tablespoons tomato sauce or one hundred grams of tomato paste
2 tablespoons oregano
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 tablespoon sugar
Salt and pepper
preparation:
Grind the chicken meat in a blender ,. Not a problem if you stay a little larger pieces.
Sauté onion and grated carrots in two tablespoons of olive oil until tender and become golden.
Put the minced meat in a bowl and then flavored with spices listed, add up the cold onions and carrots. Add the egg. Bread put in a bowl with water until soaked briefly. Squeeze out the water and add it to other products.
Knead the minced meat well.
Heat 2-3 tablespoons oil in a large frying pan and fry the meatballs, shape them with wet hands.
In close pan fry the onion and carrots in olive oil until onions become transparent. Add garlic, stir and add tomato sauce, chopped or blended peppers and paprika. Stir briefly and add the tomato sauce and some water. Sandwiching the pan and let the sauce cook for 10 minutes.
After this time add the remaining water and season with spices, sugar and salt to taste, stir. Put the lid again and cook the sauce until ready. When the sauce is ready, add the meatballs in it and mix. Cook another two minutes.
Boil pasta orzo or another that you prefer according to package directions and serve. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan.
