Major sources of refined carbohydrates that are useful for nutrition but at certain doses. Studies have shown that one of the main reasons for the increasing obesity rate in humans is the increased intake of refined carbohydrates. Indeed, like sugar, the consumption of refined carbohydrate excretion can lead to various harmful effects on overall human health.

Carbohydrates are the main source of energy in the body that breaks down into sugars (glucose) and is transported to different parts of the body. There are basically two types of carbohydrates – simple and complex. Complex carbohydrates are often called starch or starch products such as bananas, whole grains, cereals, nuts, etc., while simple carbohydrates are simple sugars found in all sweet foods such as cakes, biscuits, chocolate, pizza, soft drinks, etc. .

Both are vital for our body and that is why it is important to limit the daily intake of carbohydrates, the surplus of which can lead to many health problems such as obesity, depression, hypoglycemia, heart disease. Refined carbohydrates are simple carbohydrates that are processed with grains and are devoid of natural food components such as fiber, healthy oils, vitamins and minerals.

Refined carbohydrates for eating

The shortage of nutrients is mainly due to the removal of bran and whole grains that are loaded with different nutrients. In fact, whole grains of wheat make up minerals such as magnesium, healthy oils such as vitamin E, insoluble fiber like fiber and many other important vitamins.

Thus, the consumption of refined carbohydrates that are regularly devoid of these important nutrients can lead to a shortage of vitamins and minerals in the body that can affect normal physical functions and contribute to the progressive development of various health conditions.

The list of refined carbohydrates includes all foods prepared with refined flour or white flour, white bread, donuts, cakes, biscuits, pastries and more. All products made from white flour, pasta, rice and other white processed grains are the same sources of refined carbohydrates. But they have substitutes – brown rice, kinoa, whole grain bread and beans.

Other examples include desserts including carbohydrates – puddings, creams, jams, jellies, soft drinks, carbonated water, etc. The sweet and appetizing character of refined carbohydrates can make people hard to remove them from their diet. It is impossible, however, not to point out their disadvantages and therefore – only a limited portion of the products rich in refined carbohydrates should be consumed.

Consuming foods high in vitamins, minerals and fiber such as fresh fruit, meat, fish, whole grains, and regular exercise will help you live a long, happy and healthy life.
